FREE FLOWER EDGE CARD

I am just loving the weather reports…Met Office and BBC news this morning…some chance of small flurries of sleet …maybe one or two…The ACUTAL weather quiet heavy snow from 11 am till about 2.30 and still snowing a bit now!!! I have sat here and watched the Met Office change there mind in the space of 10 mins…snow all day…changed to no snow…changed to some snow. I would like the weather person for once be honest and say ” Actually guys we haven’t got a clue whats happening today… take your boots, snow shovel and sun cream and hope for the best”

I have to given three cheers to all the gritters because for the first time in Barnet it snowed and the roads were clear as a bell. But on the downside that ment no snow days … but at least I didn’t need a valium before I drive to work lol.

Oh nearly forgot…you see I am all over the place today…Scott is at University for 3 days for his course and I HATE it…love him for trying to do better for himself hate the fact I can’t sleep when he’s not around. Anyway I was reading about all the things you would like to try…I have had a go at the Fimo and clay I do love it it did remind me I haven’t done any for a while. Patchwork now there is another thing I would love to try but having not made the ginger breadmen I dare not start another project lol CardChick I am with you after reading the comments that one is staying on the back burner. The encaustic wax I have done that…well actually I bought the whole set for Scott and he hated it ( had nothing to do with mine turned out better than his …apparently ) Trisha I am going to try and make some more video’s this year ( I am STILL waiting for new software to arrive … Grrrrrrr) so you might get some ideas about repeat patterns although I can only do them with Pazzles.

I do have to say Hello Shirley…she has just found our happy little band..well you happy people and me lol and I am watching her make thank-you comments as she makes her way though the blog lol ….Shirley where have you been we have been here for 2 years lol.

Sorry I am on a complete manic ramble tonight I shall go sit in a dark room for a while and eat my ready meal…see no Scott no dinner another reason I hate it lol Oh question for tonight..Mmmm Has getting your cutting machine made you a better crafter or lazier? I have to say lazier because I used to draw and paint pictures more for cards now if it doesn’t come out cut I find something that does…Oooo thats an awful admission glad the family are not on the internet lol.

Here’s what you get ….. well sort of…. you do get a whole shaped card but it seems I have only done a picture of the front…DOH! πŸ˜€

Beautiful file as always! Thanks! I find my cutting machine has just given me more options as I (dare I admit it?) don't always use cut files …sometimes I stamp or paint…depends on my mood & time available. However I already have more hobbies than I have time for so I dare not try anything else & I'm retired!

I have you're blog in my Google Reader and I clicked on the download link from the reader and got the big STOP page! If I ever get around to doing something with my blog I may have to look into that little trick, love it!

They said people would accidently click and find these sites. I said they would and if it was not the right file and had a virus they wouldn't know it wasn't from me. You quiet rightly read it from google reader and clicked thinking legit and it proved it wasn't…so I think I am owed a bar of chocolate when Scott gets back lol

Greetings!  THANKS for a beautiful card layout!!  Can't wait to try it.

I have a question that I'm hoping that one of you ladies can help me with.  I'm not terribly computer-savvy.  I have an older version Cricut Expression that I bought on E-bay because it came with the Sure Cuts A Lot 2 software.  I do fine using it, and have downloaded and used fonts (love the Spiderman fonts for my son!), but for all of the downloads from here, I haven't had the opportunity yet.  Anyhow, as we know, it comes as a Zipped file.  After I download, I click on the zipped file and select "unzip all files", and select the location for them to be stored.  When I open that location, there ae all kinds of smaller files.  Can someone tell me if these are different types of files for different machines, or are they all part of the same file?  Can any of the parts be deleted without messing up the usability of the .SVG part of the file?  I find it really difficult to wade through this maze, but don't want to mess anything up by deleting a wrong part.  Thanks so much for your help, and for all the great downloads!!

    Blessings –

    Sarah

Another beauty. I wish I had half your talent. As for todays question. I do notice I turn to my Gazelle alot more than any other option for card making. I use to do a lot of paper embroidery. Not so much anymore. I can't remember the last time I used a stamp (out of my drawer full of stamps). It's sooo much easier to cut a design to make a card.

Another beautiful file Leza…thank you πŸ™‚  I've been using Mr Maxxie (KNK Maxx) quite a bit lately but I still hand craft. I love cutting projects but often prefer to decorate by hand…with a colouured (Copics or Prismas) image, etc. I love the depth that can be achieved with colouring, it's what drew me into papercrafting to begin with. And I still like fussy cutting some of my coloured images…mad I know but I find it quite relaxing lol Enjoy your snow…it's hot and dry here in Aussie land and we're having a bad summer with lots of big fires πŸ™  It's a shame we couldn't transport your snow and dump it on the fires!!

    Hey Sarah,

When you unzip Krewella's file for this wonderful card … you will have a seperate WPC, GSD, SS, SVG, EPS and a PDF file.  If you are only using the SVG it is safe to delete the rest.  Just look at the file extension or file TYPE.  Yes the rest are for different cutters.  SS is Studio for the Silhouette Cameo.  That is the one I use.

Krewella, thanks for a lovely card.  You are the rockingest {word????}  πŸ™‚  I would send you some of our weather, but it is finally going to get above 20 degrees F.

i go through different phases. At the moment I am in my Cameo phase so all cards are made with my Cameo. When the novelty wears off or I get something new I'll move on to that., or incorporate the cameo  too. I've only had the Cameo for 3 months so I'm still learning.

My goodness Leza you are on a roll … (no puns intended) lol!!!

Having had a cutting machine all those years ago – 6 to be exact, I have become a DIFFERENT kind of crafter, I have found it so much easier to develop my own style.- and definitely NOT a lazy one!  Having said that lazy isn't necessarily bad, it can be good – remember less is more and can look – well lazy!

Please do give me some pazzles software lessons though Leza – I don't use mine because I hate the software and go to Studio every time!

Thank you Krewella for a lovely design. I did manage to make some clay flowers out of Martha Stewart paper clay, it was a fun adventure but too time consuming to get the colors correct.  The "bride" is coming home this weekend and she will declare them either "lovely" or "horrible" and thus it will be decided if she wants them for her wedding or not. As far as my cutter–it's made me hang on the interenet more, always in search of new patterns, meeting fellow cutters etc. I still love to play with my stamps, inks, paints etc, but I just do the words mostly with my Pazzles. Have a most lovely day!
