Well it’s been a while I was busy last weekend and I had to have an eye test. My reading vision has now got to the point of varifocals. I have heard very different reports about these lenses but I am getting fed up with the glasses on and off and also I have to admit when they are off it’s taking longer to come into focus lol I had resigned myself to all this until I heard the price… ยฃ400 yes that does come with tranisiton lenses and more coatings than the space shuttle but I say again ยฃ400!!! In 2 years when I am due another eye test I am going to bypass Boots and go straight to the dog’s home and get a labrador and white stick because it has got to be cheaper than new lenses.

I did not think I was going to make it this week have had vertigo for the last couple of days but thankfully the tablets are now kicking in and I have stopped feeling like I am on a ship. Todays offering is a box card it was going to be a bendy card but that is a bit trickier to work out so maybe next week. There is a video and what I will tell you that I don’t mention on the video is that I could not find my accetate to use on this card. Suddenly out of nowhere a piece of accetate appeared on my desk. I thought it had fallen out of papers I was looking through so proceeded to cut out the strips for the letters. It was only when I went to put my pazzles mat away I realised the ” Perfect accetate” was in fact my mat cover….DOH !!! Luckily I have another one although no matter how I cover it it always seems to have cat hair on it.

Well heres the download PAZZLES and SILHOUETTE users only have one template due to the 12 x 12 mat size your not missing anything its just easier to put everything on one page. Have a good week and please send pictures of things you have made for the gallery. Anyone on Pintrest I will try and find some more ideas for this templateย  ๐Ÿ™‚

ty soo much for your extraordinary talent and sharing

  • June 14, 2014 at 11:12 pm

Thanks so much! I hear you on the glasses–way too expensive! I keep messing about–then they fitted me with a contact, and they “goofed” and made it too small, which allowed me to see close up, in just one eye. Very weird, but it works! Sorry to hear about your pazzies mat cover–I always try to set it away from my work space so I don’t make that mistake.

  • June 14, 2014 at 11:23 pm

Thank you so much, good luck with the glasses

Thank you for the file…isn’t the price for glasses outrageous?? just bought 2 pairs for hubby 279.00 us dollars can’t imagine what it would be in pounds… but hopefully they will help to minimize your migraines

  • June 15, 2014 at 12:02 am

Thanks once again for sharing your files xx

  • June 15, 2014 at 12:04 am

Love your box card!! Hang in there with your glasses. hugs, Patty

You mentioned acetate — someone suggested to me using the plastic that Cricut cartridges come in to make letters appear to float. It’s not super flexible, but works really great. I’m about spending no money!! Love your work, and I’m just about there with you, with the white stick and the dog. Thanks for sharing!!!

    Thank you very much!!!

I always love to read your posts, it always makes me laugh. Just the way you write things makes me think of the funny stuff I do and this is something that is so much like me. My girlfriend and I were scrapbooking and lost one of the letters that was cut out, looked everywhere then ended up recutting another one after looking and looking. Well about a couple hours later it was discovered stuck to her sleeve out of site. We got a laugh out of that!. You should add that as a clicky button, Humorous. I would always click it, you make me smile. And I agree glasses are getting crazy expensive. I love the turtles on the bottom too! Have a great weekend!

Hi Hunni, thansk for the share, and I so agree with you about blooming glasses, lol, erm, thinning, anti-reflection, varifocal and transition, oh and anti-scratch, and I now have to go yearly as my Dad has Glaucoma..Oh and I’m slowly developing a cataract, and have a weird manifestation in my vision due to Eds……………….I’ll meet you at the dogs home shall I? lol, keep your chin up, and keep those glasses on your nose instead of your head, and away from kids, Animals and Hubby’s is my advice , says she who actually has her gegs parked on top of her head as she cant see a computer screen with them on, and yes they are varifocals, lol, xxx

  • June 15, 2014 at 1:46 am

oh Lou don’t say that I have to be able to see the computer according to the woman I will be able to see screen and keys at the same time lol…. interest fact cataracts are too much sun in the eyes optition told me that …. but she might have been wanting me to buy the tranisitions lens lol

Thanks for the great laugh about the “perfect acetate” also thanks for the file. I always enjoy reading your posts.

  • June 15, 2014 at 2:25 am

You are always good for a chuckle…..Do sympathise with the cost of glasses, they are just as expensive here in Aussie land. I found with my varifocals that they were hopeless for the computer, so had reading glasses made to my prescription, so much better.
Thanks for this template, have been wanting to try one of these for ages.
    Take care.

loved your comment about the Lab and the white cane being cheaper than new lenses ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks for the freebie !

  • June 15, 2014 at 4:21 am

Interesting tip about the acetate. I just got three packages of overhead transparencies that someone was going to throw out at work. Now I have another use for the transparencies!
    Thanks for sharing your files!

  • June 15, 2014 at 4:29 am

Thank you thank you so much!

  • June 15, 2014 at 5:07 am

Oh you made my morning! I am sitting here with tears in my eyes from laughing so much! Not at you, but with you, as it seems like a page out of my own book. Oh, and btw, glasses are JUST as expensive here in South Africa, that I now tend to look past all the scratches on the glass to avoid spending a huge amount of money for new ones. Yes, I know, one day!
Thanks as usual for the fabulous cutting files.

I know I’m being cheeky, and asking alot, but is there any chance of you making the files for Silhouette Studio in V2, as myself and a lot of people I know haven’t taken the plunge into V3 yet because of all the bugs, so we can’t open in Studio unless we upgrade. No problems if you can’t do, will just have to alter SVG to suit. Thanks

    • June 15, 2014 at 10:28 am

lol cheeky really …. lol thank you for saying something I had a feeling when I saw the save as legend v2 option that might be Jeans problem . Iris for being cheeky I will include it in future downloads but can you tell me when you switch to V3 because 6 versions is a lot of converting lol will put version 2 up later ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚

  • June 15, 2014 at 11:54 am

You humble me that you are able to create such wonderful things while working thru so many health issues. I love my Pazzles and while I do some designing, 3D items take me so long to perfect that I prefer getting files from people like you so I that I only have to do the fun part. So thanks for contributing to my play time!

  • June 15, 2014 at 11:59 am

I am so sorry about your vertigo, I fought that for a long time, it is life changing. Thank you so much for sharing. Dotty

  • June 15, 2014 at 12:01 pm

Once I was prescribed verifocals, I decided it was time to get laser eye surgery. Costs about the same as your glasses. I buy cheap reading glasses at department stores and go on my merry way!
    Thanks for the file.

  • June 15, 2014 at 12:20 pm

Thanks for the file. I wanted to try one of these though i haven’t got a Dad, I’ll adapt it.
I did the same as you Mary, got laser surgery. I was the first person that i have ever heard of where it went wrong!! I had to have it redone, one eye is now ok but other is not. Still need reading glasses of course and walk around with these perched on top of my head as I need them for everything except walking around.

    • June 15, 2014 at 12:30 pm

Carole that is why I wont have them done its not the cost its the going wrong. The worst that can happen with glasses is I lose them. Apparently for sugery I would need both lens replaced …nooooo cant do it will wait for cateracts then have it done.

  • June 15, 2014 at 1:55 pm

Well glasses with varifocals ay? I have them and hubby takes the mickey out of me, as when I look at the screen I have my neck stretched and head up to see it LOL. I have found them OK, some can’t get on with them, they say it makes them giddy going downstairs, so watch out for that!

Great file as usual, thanks, have a great weekend.

Love your box card. You do such nice work and I love reading your missives. Thanks for all you do.

  • June 15, 2014 at 9:05 pm

The box card looks great, I can’t wait to have a go at making it. Bit late for Fathers day but I could add a name & make a birthday card instead.

  • June 16, 2014 at 11:49 am

    Thank you

  • June 16, 2014 at 4:37 pm

thank you for the file! Very cute card.

I went thru that ‘eye vision episode’ with contacts/glasses about 12 years ago. Couldn’t see thru either. Finally got it straightened out. Hope you do to. It’s frustrating not being able to see clearly enough to do anything.

  • June 16, 2014 at 4:48 pm

thank you very much for your file!

  • June 16, 2014 at 10:23 pm

Thank you Krewella! I made box cards for my mom & MIL last month. I’m too late getting here for Fathers’ Day but my dad and FIL have passed. I’ll have to make this for my DH next year.

Regarding glasses, I am known for gluing, taping and wire-wrapping my glasses. I could care less how it looks. If the glue job is mess, put a button or rhinestone on it. I would change out my scrapbooking versions of rhinestones depending on the season and whatever colors my son’s team was. The scrapbooking ones are cheap and self-stick. Only one failure (falling off) but I had a page of the stones at home….

Also, you can have the glasses store put your new lenses in your old glasses. I’ve done that a few times, when they weren’t busted, that is! Rather spend money on crafts.

  • June 17, 2014 at 3:49 am

Please forgive me.I kicked on sucked by mistake. I really like this idea and plan to make it with some young people I know. thank you for posting it.
